Seriously,as I went through PopSeoul(just trying to make money out of bashing.No offense.),AllKpop(the worst Kpop website ever in my opinion.NO offense.),ShenYuePop(okay),and all those so-called “Kpop websites”,I’ve noticed that some teenybopper fans of Korean teen idol stars were saying that their favorite stars were so better and hotter and cuter and more popular than some of the legendary figures,like Seo Taiji,Jo Yongpil,and even(don’t laugh or SNSD fans will stab you!!!) The Beatles.It was like WTF to me.And I was on some Korean websites,and there were literally hundereds of questions by DBSK fangirls that were titled “DBSK vs Metallica/The Beatles/Muse/Linkin Park/Slipknot/Michael Jackson/you name it”.Usually angry Korean netizens would answer the question,saying things like “Slipknot’s masks look cuter than DBSK’s faces” or “Shut up and tell your oppas to stop lip-synching“.Alright,that shows that most Korean people have brains,although some of them can get pretty mean when comparing the world-famous musicians and Korean teen idols.

Okay,what I’m trying to say is,that although some Korean teen idols are talented and great,they can’t beat the famous musicians.Heck,some crazy fanboys are now comparing Yuri from SNSD to Audrey Hepburn in beauty.AUDREY HEPBURN!!Rofls(oops,don’t stab me!).Literally,some Korean fans are really crazy.They’ve compared:
DBSK to The Beatles/Linkin Park/Muse/Slipknot/Ray Charles/Madonna/Michael Jackson/Metallica/Avril Lavigne/Nirvana/Mariah Carey/Seo Taiji/Jo Yongpil/Epik High/SG Wannabe/X-Japan.
SS501 to most of the above.
Super Junior to most of the above.
Xiah Junsu to Whitney Houston.Junsu’s a great singer,but his voice is not as powerful as Whithey Houston’s.Plus,she can easily reach up to 5 octave,while Junsu can only reach up to 2 octave B.
U-Know Yunho to 2KAL and Eminem in rapping,and Chris Brown in dancing.
MAX Changmin to Freddy Mercury.
Hero Jaejoong to Johnny Depp,Brad Pitt,and Jang Donggun in looks.Jaejoong’s cute,but nobody can beat Brad Pitt and Jang Donggun in hotness.LOL.
FT Island to Linkin Park(btw,Minhwan’s a fan of Linkin Park!),Muse,and The Beatles.

This is just ridiculous.How do they compare the teen idols to talented American/European/Asian singers?And I mean,The Beatles?They are legends.And don’t you dare say that Xiah Junsu is better than Whitney Houston.

Their favorite Kpop teen idol group isn’t even better than Seo Taiji!Most Korean teen idol groups do not write,compose,and produce their own music.Even if they do,they only write songs about love,while Seo Taiji writes songs about his thoughts,feelings,and his views on public issues.None of them has their songs in Korean textbooks.Apparently,the most popular teen idol group now is Big Bang and DBSK,and are they called “the Cultural Presidents”?No.Seo Taiji’s second album was sold 2.3 million.Now why do you DBSK fans go around telling people that DBSK’s more popular because they’ve sold more albums?Do the major Korean broadcast stations newscast the Korean teen idols when they make their comebacks?Did some fangirls of the popular teen idols jumped up to the stage while they were getting awards?Will you threaten your favorite teen idol group when they disband that you’re going to commit suicide with other fans if they don’t reunite?
Comparing is a very bad thing.Especially when you compare some teen idols to real musicians.I love Korean teen idol stars,but I’m also a big fan of some of the musicians up there.Many teen idol stars are talented,but they surely can’t beat Metallica and Mariah Carey.Well,it’s true,so get over it.SNSD Tiffany can’t sing better than Younha.And Audrey Hepburn is way prettier than Yuri,outside and inside.Seriously,it gets annoying when you compare like that.

Why don’t they just compare Kyuhyun with James Dean and BoA with Marilyn Monroe…OMG.

I think you answered that very well above but I just wanted to point that out again.
Comparing legends to new stars? If DBSK/Super Junior/Big Bang/SNSD/Wonder Girls and whoever else will reach Madonnas or Michael Jacksons fame one day perhaps let’s discuss it again. I don’t think we will.

@keirafan: They’re just arrogant teenybopper fans that give all of us Kpop fans bad names. You know what the latest trend in this comparing thing is? Muse vs FT Island. Now that’s fab. Hope Matthew Bellamy won’t get offended.
I mean I love SJ and DBSK and all, but that doesn’t mean that I can compare to them to legends.
