I know I’m kind of late on things these days, but I had so many projects to make up. Anyways, here’s my latest obsession: GD for Gorgeous:D
G-Dragon looks captivating with platinum blond hair! I’m just speechless. I don’t know how to describe him in words.
I loved Flo-Rida’s “Right Round,” and this is coming from a punk rock fan, and stereotype has it that we punk rock fans hate hip hop/rap. Anyways, to me G-Dragon’s “Heartbreaker” didn’t sound like a ”Right Round” rip at all. The first, what, 10 seconds were a bit similar, but the rest of the song was totally different.
Oh, and I got a bunch of pictures from Cyworld. Hope I’m not violating copyright laws.

Yeah, Heartbreaker is sure amazing. I like it too and normally I’m listening to hard rock and heavy metal, plus normally I hate hip-hop/rap/electro-stuff – but this is good!

@jonghyun: Wow, are you serious? He’s always been the 2nd best looking guy in BB for me(the 1st place always went to TOP), but I guess I would put him on the 1st. He looks gorgeous!:D
And of course, with GD, you never know what you’re going to get next. He’s so creative with everything!

I love rock but I actually do like rap/hip hop. I’m talking about mainstream rap/hip hop, like T.I., Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, etc though. I do not know any underground rappers and hip hop musicians..It’s kind of contradictory because I prefer indie/non-mainstream rock over mainstream ones.
@xKeirafanx: Haha, I’m dying to get the whole album! I have to order it over the web though, since it was already sold out at my local Korean record store. Till then, I’m going to have to be on Youtube:)
Oh my gosh, I love “Butterfly”! People keep saying that it’s a rip of Oasis’s “She’s Electric” though. Well, to me, it doesn’t sound like an Oasis rip at all. And why would he rip from Oasis anyway, since everyone knows that Oasis are very sensitive to these kinds of stuffs(Coca-Cola ripped from Oasis and had to pay a large sum of money for violating copyright laws)?
@YuRi: I know! I really love most aspects about him: his style, his music, his smile…ah. Especially his style. I’m actually considering going blonde and cutting my hair short like him! I think it’d look weird on me though:)

@sjff: oh yes, “Butterfly” is defently my fav song of the album…I like “Heartbreaker” too and “Breathe”. “Hello” is feat. Dara from 2NE1 and CL and Teddy are featuring in “The Leaders”. What I like about “the leaders” is when GD is going like “gee,gee,gee,gee,beg it, beg it.GD,GD,beg it,beg it” I laughed so hard….his own parody of SNSD!

Oh, I was talking about the same stuff too. Artists like Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy is not my taste…
For me it’s kinda contradictory here too, since normally I don’t like rap/hip-hop (like Lil W, SB, ect) but I start to like Big Bang, and that’s rap/hip-hop. After I was introduced to K-Pop, I started to realize that pop/rap/hip-hop can be good too. I like indie-rock too, mostly Japanese Indie-rock for some reason, but then they always end up being mainstream, so I’m listening to mainstream too, unless it’s too much!

I’ve noticed that too! But I’ve heard many rock songs with rap, and rock fans doesn’t seem to notice.
Oh, this is contradictory too – Okay I don’t hate rap/hip-hop, I love rap/hip-hop songs with a fresh rhythm and messages to the world.
When someone says rap, the first thing I’ll think of is the “money, cars, chicks” concept :/.

A lot of mainstream rock bands these days sing about getting laid and things like that too, but rockers like to think they’re all sexy punk rebels:)

^^ oh yes, the so called LP fans that were (and still are) bitching about rap…I’ve met some and honestly I don’t see the problem. I love that LP mixes Rap and Rock, it’s wonderful and I don’t bash on rap. I freaking loved Eminem from the start of his career.

@kjoverflow: I really don’t even listen to mainstream rock anymore because of that:( But metal and punk rock has it worst, esp. punk rock. “Pop punk” artists such as Avril Lavigne(even though she said she’s not punk and I like some of her songs) are turning the amazing genre of punk rock into an overly commercialized, “rebellious” rock version of bubblegum pop. It drives me nuts whenever I spot one of those fake punk kids in $30 Sum41(again, I don’t hate Sum41) shirts from Hot Topic and act as if they’re the biggest revolutionary activists or something. I mean, yeah, punk is about anti-establishment, but it’s more of a sophisticated kind of rebellion, nowhere close to those “fuck what my parents think about my hardcore piercing!! yeahh! I must be sooo punky!” kind of rebellion. Sorry about the rambling…I just had a kid come up to me and call me a “hardcore poseur” because I was listening to D.O.A., instead of Paramore, which I guess is considered “hardcore” among teenagers these days. I figured you’d get what I mean though, since you told me before that you listen to metal. And from what I’ve heard, the metal scene has similar issues.:(

lol yes…this rap point….I know a lot LP fans who say they hate Rap/hip Hop and all that stuff but alway go crazy when they hear Mike…I really can´t understand them….-.- I need to say that I don´t like every Hip Hop or Rap skills, too. because the most of them are…I don´t know how to say…stupid? childish? Pubertal? ( at this point I won´t give 50 cent as an example…and I won´t mention songs like “candy shop”…no I don´t….)
but some artists like Mike Shinoda are able to rap good and about things you can really understand and I think lyrics like “Breaking the Habit” or “What I´ve done” are really good and are talking about important things.
So…back to point….xD what I want to say is that you can´t say “I hate Hip Hop” when you are listening to Linkin Park. ^.^
so know to G Dragon….yeah…Keirafan told me about him and was alway saying “he´s soooo cool!” and so on…I really thought “WTF?!” when I heard Heartbreaker the first time…:) i really didn´t like it at first…but now i´ve got the album and fell totaly in love with it…(at this moment I´m listening to “breathe”… love it… XD )and I´m always going to get crazy when I listen to “Hello”…I love Dara from 2NE1….;) sooo… but I need to say I don´t think that GD is hot…he has got a crazy style thats cool but…he´s not my type…xDDD (if you want to hit me now….do it…xDD it´s my opinion….;))

Anyways, that’s right they are kinda changing the genre. People think it’s hardcore punk. Oh, I’ve tried something similar. Like that so called emo genre… Kid’s doesn’t even know what it means. I’m not into the emo style though, but I was a wannabe-emo as a small teenager. (Makes me think about that gangster nonsense between some teenagers. Ýou know those who call themselves gangsters, even though they are definitely not multi-criminal gangleaders from Russia).
Paramore…. Hardcore…? Haha, people should be taught about genres. Well it’s not much of a hardcore-band then. They are pretty mainstream too so teens today are listening to Paramore and Lady Gaga on the same time because it’s mainstream. Btw, I don’t hate the artists i mentioned and of course people can like more than one genre. This mainstream-thing is just… :/.

Like I’ve said, I have a really weird taste when it comes to guys. I’m naturally drawn to PUNK/rocker/emo/scene/skater/indie guys or just any guys with creative styles. But hey, whatever floats your boat! Not everyone has to find GD sexy! I respect your taste because I just got bitched from my friends for flirting with a bisexual guy.:) So close-minded..:(

@kjoverflow: EXACTLY! For me, hardcore punk will always be Dead Kennedys and Bad Brains and will always be. I mean, I don’t hate Paramore and those so-called “hardcore punk” bands, but the messages in their lyrics, their shows, and all those elements just can’t match up to those of a single real hardcore punk band’s alone. And thanks for acknowledging what real emo is: emotive hardcore, which has nothing to do with My Chemical Romance(again, I like some of their songs). I do call those kids who dress in tight skinny jeans and wear eyeliner “emo,” but it’s only because it’s more convenient to call them “emo” than “kids who listen to MCR and wear eyeliner.” Most American “gangsta” kids are wannabes too, but there are some real ones out there..I’d rather not mess with them.:)
