Why so curious?
I’ve been getting a hella lot of questions and comments concerning various of things on the Super Junior Profile page and other posts.
And since I don’t want the comments on the SJP page go over 1,000 anytime soon, I decided to create this page to answer the most frequently asked questions. You can also ask questions concerning Super Junior, other Korean singers, me, Sarcastic!, and other things on here.
Have a freaking nice day!!!

FAQs
1. Are Super Junior members gay?
A: I don’t believe so. But who knows? Most people are straight, but you can’t deny that there are some homo/bi/pansexual people out there. None of the members has admitted being gay yet. There’s nothing wrong with having a different sexual orientation, remember.
2. Are you related to Super Junior?
A: I am not related to any members myself, but my cousin is a sasaeng fan and some of my relatives in Korea work in entertainment-related fields.
3. What nationality are you?
A: I’m a proud American and I love my country to death.
4. Are you anti-(insert a musical group’s name here)?
A: I am not anti-any musical group in particular, even though I have personal opinions and don’t like some musical groups/genres. For example, I’m not personally a big fan of pop punk, but that doesn’t mean that I hate My Chemical Romance or Paramore(some songs are pretty good!)
5. What is this blog about?
A: Whatever topic I’m interested in, although this blog heavily consist of Kpop-related posts.
6. Why is Kibum not promoting Sorry Sorry?
A: Some say that his mother is very sick, so he has to take care of her in the States, and some say that he’s more interested in becoming an actor than singer.
7. Why are your grammar and spelling so bad?
A: Cuz I mainly slept during English classes. Sorry, all of my English/Language Arts teachers have been boring.
8. Do Korean guys like (insert a nationality here) girls?
A: I don’t know if you’re dreaming about getting married to Lee Hongki or whomever, but to tell the truth here, many Korean guys like Korean girls more than anyone else, especially considering that there are way less Korean girls than guys in the country right now so there is a lot of competition going on. However, this doesn’t mean that all Korean guys are like this.
9. Why are most Korean musicians Christians?
A: There were so many Christians back then in Korea during the 70’s and 80’s, and I believe that parents who have converted back then brought up their children to become Christians, who later became members of your favorite idol group. However, Christians are currently decreasing in number and other religion, such as Catholicism seem to be increasing in popularity. There are many, many Muslim missionaries in Korea too, but there aren’t many Muslim Koreans out there.
10. Why are you so mean to Only 13-ers?
A: I’m not mean. Only 13-ers have terrorized my blog when I first opened it and called me a “race disgracing two-faced anti-fan bitch.” Who’s being mean now?
11. Did Kangin really beat Sungmin up? Is Sungmin really a loner?
A: (I’ve actually gotten this question on a forum:P) Why are you asking me this? Seriously, how would I know? But think about it: Kangin’s like in his mid 20’s. I don’t think that he could be that immature, unless Sungmin was really getting on his nerves; say, raping his girlfriend in his face. I mean, think about it.
12. Do you have a MySpace/Facebook/MSN/etc?
A: Trust me, I have a life:) But I do not wish to share my Facebook account, etc, with you. It’s not because I hate you or anything. I just like to keep some personal things to myself.
13. Do you have Super Junior’s e-mail addresses/phone numbers?
Nope. I’m not a sasaeng fan.
14. What if I have additional questions?
A: Just ask me.
15. How can I contact you?
A: Just leave a message on this page. Don’t spam.
hola!i’ve read ur blog few days ago, and like it (almost all the topics);) i like suju n dbsk, and since you have a sasaeng cousin and some relatives who work in entertainment-related fields, i wanna ask you if you know anything about dbsk too? @puppylova:*high five for the bad grammar* Well, actually your grammar sounds just fine to me.
I don’t want to be bombed by Cassi suicide bombers but I heard that Junsu and Yoochun smokes a lot. Got it from my aunt. My aunt’s a makeup artist at KBS and she’s the one who got me into this Kpop thing, so yeah. Yeah, hahaha. Not saying that it’s necessarily true Cassis! Don’t kill me!XP

@sjff:
Hello! :] *smiles brightly*
I just wanted to say I love your blog. You cover some pretty cool stuff, some of which actually applies to me!
Sorry. Don’t mean to take over the role of overeager-Hoobae, but I can’t help it, I think you’re kinda awesome. XD
You seem fun to talk to.
I hope we can be (cyber)friends in the future, even though there is a 4 year age gap. ;]
P.S. Do you like SS501 and Boys Over Flowers in addition to Super Junior? I love all three… *sighs in admiration*
Youngsaeng, Kyuhyun, Sungmin, Kin Bum… XDD
Bye! :]

@Saabs: Thanks!:) Keep visiting! Oh yes I love SS501! I liked Boys Over Flower too(Ji Hoo!), but I’m more of a historical drama person(learning about my heritage:)).

ur welcome ^^ anyway,i got some questions about korea,at what age a korean man has to join the military n 4 how long?is it possible to avoid it?im soo… curious 0.o
Comment by puppylova — June 21, 2009 @ 2:10 am
p.s if u dont mind :)
Comment by puppylova — June 21, 2009 @ 2:13 am
@puppylova: You have to register with the department as soon as you turn 18. But you can avoid it if you’re physically/mentally challenged, I think. One of my cousins didn’t have to go because he had a really bad vision. You can choose community service as the alternative to being in military for religious/health reasons.
I think you have to be in military for 3 yrs. Hope this helped:)
Comment by sjff — June 21, 2009 @ 5:36 pm
wow,3 years is a long time.do u think SJ will participate in it?i dont know if some of korean artists join it or not,but i think this military stuff is pretty difficult 4 them, considering their job… :)
Comment by puppylova — June 26, 2009 @ 8:06 am
@puppylova: They’d better join before they turn 30, or they can go to jail for that.=/ I mean, South Korea’s still practically in war with North Korea, right. Pretty tough stuff.
Comment by sjff — June 26, 2009 @ 9:24 am
uhuh…but i can’t understand though, why is korea separated?(democracy n communism)personally, i don’t like communism…even though i’m 95% chinese n 5% indonesian, i prefer live in indonesia than in china..back to main topic, if the korean guys who have to join the mily already have a job or family, then they have to leave them?what about a big company boss?he has to leave it too?i just went to singapore, and i heard that the boys have to join the mily for one year only right before they go to college, now that’s pretty simple…
Comment by puppylova — June 27, 2009 @ 5:29 am
@puppylova: Korea was colonized by Japan for 36 years before the end of WW2. The Russians came into North Korea and Americans came into South Korea after the war. The Americans established a democratic goverment in the South and South Koreans elected a president, but Kim Il-Sung(the first dictator of NK) and his Russian friends didn’t like it of course, so they established a separate government. Then the Korean War. And you know the rest from here.
Uh, yeah. But sometimes they can postpone it if they’re studying abroad, have to support a poor family, etc.
I’m not so fond of communism either. I don’t think it works. In addition, Lenin totally fucked it.
Comment by sjff — June 27, 2009 @ 10:36 am
oh..well..so i guess yoochun won’t have to join the mily rite?technically he’s american, isn’ he?anyway,i just remember about donghae (luv him..lol) is he dating anybody now?from what i read in recent articles, looks like SJ rarely dating celeb girls.do u know why so?
Comment by puppylova — July 1, 2009 @ 7:43 am
@puppylova: Does he have American citizenship? If he only has a green card, then he would have to serve. I heard that he’d lived in US for about 3 yrs, so I’d highly doubt that he’s American, unless he got his green card in that 3 yrs and passed citizenship test while in DBSK. Even if he’s has a dual citizenship, he would eventually have to give up either one(if he gives up the American one because of DBSK, he would certainly have to go) because Korean laws don’t allow its citizens to have multiple citizenships.
I don’t know if Donghae’s dating anyone now. Wouldn’t he be too busy though, preparing for SJ-M’s second album and promoting at Super Show and all that jazz? Just a guess.
Sorry for the generalization, but a lot of Korean celeb girls are freaking stuck-up and mean. Not all of them, but a lot of them that I’ve ran into were. Just go to like Myung Dong and you sometimes see Korean celebrities walking around carrying their little Louis Vuittons(why do so many Koreans carry designer bags anyway) and not all of them are so nice off-screen. I wouldn’t be surprised if SJ mainly dates non-celebrities.
Comment by sjff — July 1, 2009 @ 9:47 am
when u said that korean celeb girls are not nice off screen,u mean like they’re being cocky n don’t bother people saying hi to them on the streets?but maybe non celebs are perfect for SJ cause i think they will be more understanding n down to earth..
about donghae,i remember something u wrote that he always have a gf or 2,so he’s a big player huh?lol
Comment by puppylova — July 3, 2009 @ 8:34 am
@puppylova: Yeah probs. I recently met one teen idol girl in Chung Dam Dong(I was at Korea visiting my grandma) and I asked her for autograph. There were like five other people asking for her autograph. Well, she let out this huge sigh as if I were really, really irritating. Even though she was wearing sunglasses I’m sure she rolled her eyes. She did give me her autograph though, relunctantly. I said thank you but she ignored me and walked away. I was like, who the fuck do you think is buying your shitty music. Me. I would’ve gotten pissed off if any of the SJ members even tried to date her.
Oh yeah, Donghae. Haha:D That was actually meant to be sarcastic, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he really was a huge player. I mean, with that face? Yeah.

Hey! So I just stumbled upon your blog and I love it=] Anyways, I read that you like punk rock. I’m a Kpop fan but punk rock still rules my heart. What are some of your favorite bands?
Comment by Jen — July 8, 2009 @ 2:28 pm
really?who is it?can u tell me her name?lol…
yeah, sometimes celebs can be so mean, it’s just the way they are..
oh, myung dong! i heard that its a shopping paradise..gosh, i really want to go to Korea, the only one who ever went there in my family is my uncle, he’s just so lucky… :\
Comment by puppylova — July 9, 2009 @ 2:56 am
@Jen: Yay! A fellow punk rock fan!!:)
Hmm..Let’s start from Anti-Flag, The Unseen, Total Chaos, Sex Pistols, and Dead Kennedys. Amebix is the only crustcore band I like(no offense to crustcore fans). The old Misfits stuffs were okay. Hmm..And also Bad Religion, The Exploited, The Virus, Stiff Little Fingers, and buncha more but that’s all I can think of for now. I don’t know if Rise Against is considered punk but I like them too.:P
Comment by sjff — July 9, 2009 @ 9:00 am
@puppylova: Well..I’d rather not say her name because I hate getting bashed on by fanboys.
Myung Dong’s awesome:) One of my favorite places in Korea. Chung Dam Dong’s okay(one of my cousins lives there) and a lot of celebrities live there. My cousin claims that one of his friends used to live in the same apartment complex as SJ. It was pretty cool, even though I never got to stalk them:) You should really come to Korea. It’s really fun:)
